THE DRIED LONGAN

The dried longan is the longan thick pulp peeled off, given up the seed, dried and packed. The dried longan is rich in nutrients, used as snack like dried grape or used in the preparation of food like sweet lotus seed soups or used in the recipes of traditional medicine or pickled rice wine

The longan fruit has existed for nearly 300 years and is a part of the history of the town of Hien (phố Hiến), was the official fruit offered to the King (tiến Vua). there is still the oldest longan tree which is considered as the ancestor tree in Hung Yen province. The distinctive flavor and characteristics of the longan fruit is well-known in daily lives.

The longan rice wine is a special product of Huong Quynh which is made by perfumed sticky rice wine, dried longan and longan flower honey. The distinctive flavor and characteristics of the longan rice wine is unforgettable

How we make it?

Hung Yen perfumed sticky rice is boiled, mixed with traditional yeast, distilled by traditional way then mixed with dried longan, longan flower honey, put in ceramic jar, buried in the garden more than 12 months to improve the quality and bottled finally.

The Q rice wine is a kind of Vietnam rice wine, distilled by traditional way, put in ceramic jar and buried in the garden more than 12 months
